Mania

When passions build, and start to wind,
Like towers of fire at the edge of my mind
Their colors compel; so filled with life
With every hue never seen by human eyes.

Not always understood, but always prized,
No rest needed for my burning light.
“Frenzied” you say, but I say “Alive,”
How truly I feel in those precious times.

Angry, joyful flames surround,
Invincible skin; courage compounds,
Mania moves, maniacal bets
time for action, no time for regrets...

You ever had an idea that just took over your head and on a whim you the dedicate absolutely everything to it and by the time you're done you've already scrapped like 15 drafts, you've whiled away 6 hours of your life and your idea never really made the transition to paper?

Well anyway, here's something I drew when I was off my lithium, because screw the meds. Who needs 'em?
